Dhiraagu Fuvahmulah Run 2025 concluded with huge success.
This run is then first ever edition of the country's largest race; Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) to be held in an atoll outside the capital.
Held yesterday in Fuvahmulah City, the race brought together 1,112 participants from around the world. Organized by the Fuvahmulah City Council, Fuvahmulah Women’s Development Committee, and the Athletics Association, the event aimed to highlight Fuvahmulah as a unique and scenic running destination, while expanding opportunities for local athletes.
Participants competed in three categories including 5 km, 10 km, and the half marathon.

The Dhiraagu Road Race is the only international race in the country. It is listed on the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and included in the World Running Calendar. It also features a World Athletics Certified Route.
