MIB to host Guesthouse Symposium this year as well

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has announced that they will be holding the Guesthouse Symposium this year as well.

The event is planned to be held at Crossroads Maldives on October 2. In addition to guesthouses, other related businesses will also join the event and participate in discussions, the bank said.

The symposium will offer an opportunity to discuss challenges faced by the industry and share advice from industry experts.

In a media briefing held yesterday, MIB COO Ahmed Riza highlighted that last year's edition of the Guesthouse Symposium had been a huge success. He said that this year's symposium will be conducted with improvements, having taken into account comments and suggestions made by last year's participants.

"This year, too, we intend to accommodate 150 participants in the Guesthouse Symposium. Our hope is that the response this year is even better than last year," he said.

Riza said that small and medium enterprises which provide various tourism industry related services also will get the opportunity to place stalls at the symposium.

The first Guesthouse Symposium, held by MIB last year, saw over 150 attendees. MIB said that applications for this year's symposium will be accepted online as well, which will be announced at a later date.
