MMPRC renamed Visit Maldives Corporation

Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation Ltd (MMPRC) has been officially renamed today as Visit Maldives Corporation Ltd.

The change was confirmed through a presidential decree.

As per the decree, changes will also be brought tot he company's statutes and operational states.

'Visit Maldives' is the official branding used by the corporation in promoting Maldives. Some changes have been brought today to the brand's logo as well.

MMPRC was formed in March 2010 to promote Maldives globally as a luxury travel destination.

Following past corruption scandals, MMPRC has even earlier expressed plans to rebrand in an effort to distance itself from negative associations.
