India's VCL Group to make luxury apartment residence in Maldives

The project is set to be constructed at Hulhumale' Phase 2. It was inaugurated by Higher Education Minister Dr. Ali Haidar, VCL Group Chairman Varinder Kumar Garg and Indian High Commissioner to Maldives G Balasubramanian.

A luxury apartment resident project by the name of "Blue Lagoon" was inaugurated last night and will be built by well-known Indian construction company VCL Group.

The project is set to be constructed at Hulhumale' Phase 2. It was inaugurated by Higher Education Minister Dr. Ali Haidar, VCL Group Chairman Varinder Kumar Garg and Indian High Commissioner to Maldives G Balasubramanian.

The ceremony took place at JEN Hotel, with VCL Group Chairman Varinder Kumar Garg stating that VCL Group has completed many successful projects in India. He went on to say that there has been a vision to offer the services internationally since the company's inception, with their first global project being in Mauritius.

He stated they will always prioritize quality work and meeting deadlines.

What is Blue Lagoon?

VCL Group's "Blue Lagoon" is a building designed by one of India's most famous architecture firms, Hafeez Contractor. It was designed with spacious accommodations and various resources dedicated to the comfort of individuals in mind.

The apartments will have full natural light. The rooftop will have a swimming pool, garden and a specific area for barbequing. The building will also include a daycare center, a children's play area, a multi-purpose hall, a theater and a gym as well. A 15,000 square foot club house will also be included.

The residence will have two towers and is projected to be one of the largest buildings in Maldives. It will have a separate lobby for privacy purposes, along with six lifts per tower.

These are the following apartment sizes and prices that have been set for "Blue Lagoon":

- 1,035 square foot apartments with 2 rooms with a starting price of MVR 3.6 million.

- 1,280 square foot apartments with 2 rooms with a starting price of MVR 3.9 million.

- 1,340 square foot apartments with 2+1 rooms with a starting price of MVR 4.5 million.

- 1,795 square foot apartments with 3 rooms with a starting price of MVR 6.1 million.

- 1,825 square foot apartments with 3 rooms with a starting price of MVR 6.1 million.

- 1,875 square foot apartments with 3 rooms with a starting price of MVR 6.1 million.

"Blue Lagoon" is the latest in one of their many residential projects by VCL Group that has been operating at various countries in the Indian Ocean. The company has been building residential complexes, malls and hospitals, with them having done road development since 1987.

VCL Group is also the contractor of the 11 towers awarded to NBCC as part of the Fahi Dhiriulhun housing projects in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
