Bank of Maldives (BML) has inaugurated its latest branch in Alif Alif (AA) Ukulhas. The bank also introduced USD ATM services on the island.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, cabinet ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef and other senior officials of the bank attended the inauguration ceremony held this morning.
“We are delighted to bring our services to the vibrant community of Ukulhas, a vital center of guest house tourism in the Maldives. With this new branch and new USD ATM service, residents and entrepreneurs on Ukulhas as well as nearby islands will have convenient access to tailored financial solutions that will support local development and contribute to economic growth,” BML CEO and Managing Director Shareef stated.

Known for its thriving guest house industry, Ukulhas is a key economic hub in Alif Alif Atoll, and the new branch will cater to both individuals and businesses including the growing tourism-related businesses through its “Islamic Finance First” banking services, the bank said.
BML currently has 42 branches, 144 self-service banking centres, 202 ATMs, and agent banking services across 20 atolls of Maldives. The bank also offers state of the art online banking services.
