STO and Makita marked their 25th anniversary of partnership with a special celebration held yesterday at Kurumba Maldives Resort.
The event was attended by STO Managing Director and CEO Shimad Ibrahim, Makita Director and Corporate Officer of International Sales Headquarters Omote Takashi, and other distinguished guests.
As part of the celebration, Makita unveiled its latest range of power tools, with hands-on demonstrations held in a specially designed experience zone to showcase product capabilities and innovations.

Speaking at the ceremony, STO Construction Solutions Director Mohamed Iman highlighted the strong 25-year partnership between STO and Makita and expressed gratitude to loyal customers who have supported the collaboration over the years.
During the event, plaques of appreciation were presented to key customers who have contributed significantly to the success of STO Makita and maintained long-standing relationships with both companies. Honorees included:

Omote Takashi and Japanese Ambassador to Maldives Ishigami Rumiko also addressed attendees, emphasizing the strong relationship between Makita and STO. They noted the positive impact this partnership has had on the construction sector and on strengthening economic ties between Japan and Maldives.
