Ooredoo Nation Atoll Esports League 2025, one of the biggest esports tournaments in the Maldives, is now underway.
The competition, which began on August 20, has drawn 49 teams from 35 islands across 16 atolls, competing in the popular mobile game PUBG Mobile.
A total prize pool of MVR 200,000 is on offer, with the champion team receiving MVR 25,000. The runner-up prizes range from MVR 12,000 to MVR 3,000, while the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) will receive MVR 4,000.
Ooredoo Nation said the league aims to connect gamers nationwide, give players a platform to showcase their skills, and strengthen the Maldivian esports community. The event is open to players from every corner of the country and is being held entirely online.
Teams representing various atolls include:
- Alifu Alifu atoll: Maalhos MSC, Thoddoo Apex Legends, Ukulhas HNTR
- Alifu Dhaalu atoll: Omadhoo Dark Camper, Omadhoo Ice, Omadhoo Snake
- Baa atoll: Goidhoo Gabulhi, Goidhoo Kuroalhi, Kudarikilu CND Apex, Kudarikilu Kamikaze, Team Kudarikilu, Thulhaadhoo F12
- Dhaalu atoll: Bandhidhoo DMT, Hulhudheli BLK, Hulhudelhi EQZ
- Faafu atoll: Feeali ADVY, Feealians, Team Billehdhoo
- Gnaviyani / Gaafu Alifu atoll: Addu City SOL, FVM City AKZ, FVM City Anteiku, FVM City TRF Titans, Gemana Legions
- Haa Alifu atoll: Dhidhoo LF, Maarandhoo, Muraidhoo TM4, Team Uligam
- Haa Dhaalu atoll: Neykurendhoo, Team Hiri
- Kaafu atoll: HLML Naturally Lethal, Huraa Fanatic, Malé Morrigan, Thulusdhoo Falcons
- Laamu atoll: Fonadhoo DMZ, Isdhoo CLX
- Lhaviyani atoll: Hinnavaru CND, Naifaru Besaak, Naifaru Europe, Team Naifaru
- Raa atoll: Maakurathu XNTRX, Maduvvaree Kez Crew, Maduvvaree XLN
Match schedules, updates and highlights will be shared on Ooredoo Nation’s official social media, with all games livestreamed via Ooredoo Nation’s YouTube channel, giving fans across the country the chance to watch the action in real time.
