Visit Maldives Corporation announced today that the Maldives will be advertised in <b>10 different languages</b> at the famous "Battle of the Reds" match (Liverpool vs. Manchester United) tonight at Anfield Stadium in the United Kingdom.
In a statement, Visit Maldives said the "Visit Maldives" branding on the LED boards at Anfield Stadium is being showcased under the destination partnership established with Liverpool FC. The match is being played tonight in Maldivian time, and the languages used to advertise the Maldives at the stadium will include English, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Russian, and Italian, among others, according to the statement of Visit Maldives.
Visit Maldives noted that this is the first time the Maldives has been advertised in such a manner during a widely viewed sporting event.
It is estimated that the "Battle of the Reds" match will be broadcast and viewed by <b>600 million people</b> across various platforms.
"This will draw the attention of many people to the Visit Maldives brand, and will pave the way for further advancements in the Corporation's efforts to promote the Maldives as a luxury tourism destination," the Visit Maldives statement said.
The Corporation also stated that under the partnership established with Liverpool Football Club, the diverse opportunities and luxury resorts available to tourists in the Maldives can be promoted worldwide.
