Dhiraagu Gamers Guild Season 2 launched

Season 2 of the Dhiraagu Gamers Guild (DGG), one of the largest gaming platforms in the Maldives, has been launched.

Information regarding the tournaments planned for this year and various activities aimed at the gaming community were shared during the DGG season launch event. While various gaming activities took place during the event, the band '<i>Fenfulhi</i>' also delivered an energetic musical performance.

During the event, DGG introduced "Leaderboards" and announced that "Guild Features" would be introduced within this year. This is expected to strengthen the bond between players and increase the competitive spirit.

DGG stated that in an effort to increase community participation this year, tournaments would be held, and DGG's first international online tournament is scheduled to take place this year.

In recognition of their assistance in strengthening the Maldivian e-gaming sector, DGG's partners were presented with commemorative plaques during the activity. These include DGG’s premium sponsor "Miniso" and elite partners Villa Mart, Megachip, and Sheesha.

Dhiraagu describes the past year as one of great success for DGG in the Maldivian gaming sector. More than 11,000 gamers registered on the platform last year. Additionally, 17 tournaments were successfully held across 13 different categories, with a total of MVR 350,000 distributed as prize money.

Furthermore, valuable prizes totaling MVR 150,000 were given away through giveaways.

The most notable event of last year was the "Dhiraagu Maldives Gaming Conquest" held in August, which was one of the largest gaming events in Maldivian history.

The platform stated that all these efforts are part of DGG's work to promote e-sports in the Maldives and build a competitive gaming environment.
