As President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu pledged last year, seaplane travels to AA. Thoddoo have commenced today.
During the President’s visit to the island in August last year, he stated that a seaplane platform would be constructed in Thoddoo and scheduled seaplane travels would begin starting from February of this year.
The Maldivian airline's seaplane travels to Thoddoo were inaugurated today at a special ceremony held on the island. The ceremony was honored by the Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture, and Heritage, Adam Naseer, who is a native of Thoddoo.
During today's ceremony, the Deputy Managing Director of Maldivian airline, Ali Saleem, stated that seaplane services to Thoddoo would be available without interruption and that travels would be increased in line with demand.

Maldivian will operate seaplane travels to Thoddoo, where the guesthouse business is expanding and developing significantly, on Thursdays and Saturdays of every week.
Maldivian stated that under a special fare, a one-way ticket is currently priced at MVR 799.
Maldivian's DMD, Ali Saleem, stated that Maldivian is fulfilling all the pledges made by President Muizzu regarding the airline.
"Whether it is the sea ambulance service, or traveling to inhabited destinations where tourism is flourishing, or connecting Addu Atoll, Huvadhu Atoll, and Fuvahmulah, Maldivian is, God willing, fulfilling all these pledges of the President to the letter," he said.
