Hawks Hotels has partnered with Click Pay to introduce a new payment solution allowing guests to settle hotel services in Russian rubles (RUB) using Russian bank cards.
The partnership aims to provide greater convenience and flexibility for international travellers staying at Hawks Hotels properties in Baa atoll.
Under the arrangement, guests can pay for hotel services, excursions, spa treatments, dining experiences and other activities directly in rubles.
The payment process allows guests to request a Click Pay payment link from the hotel reception. They can then scan a QR code and complete the transaction using a Russian bank card.
Before confirming the payment, the platform displays the total amount, exchange rate and final payable value in rubles.
Fathuhulla Naseer, head of commercial development at Hawks Hotels, said the partnership was aimed at making travel more convenient for guests.
“At Hawks Hotels, we continuously look for ways to make travel more convenient and seamless for our guests. Through our partnership with Click Pay, we are introducing a ruble payment solution that provides greater flexibility for guests who prefer to pay using Russian bank cards,” he said.
The new payment option is now available across Hawks Hotels properties located on Kamadhoo island in Baa atoll, part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The hotel said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and enhance the overall guest experience for visitors to the Maldives.
