Police rescue 14 divers found adrift

The police rescued a total of 14 individuals, including 10 Russian divers and four local instructors.

Fourteen divers who were found adrift today have been successfully rescued.

According to the police, this morning, a Marine Police speedboat en-route from Fuvahmulah to Gaafu Dhaalu atoll spotted a diver in the sea near Gaafu Dhaalu atoll Gan. Upon investigation, two more divers were discovered.

When the speedboat approached the area, the police were informed that additional divers were adrift.

The police rescued a total of 14 individuals, including 10 Russian divers and four local instructors.

They were transported to Gaddhoo via a police speedboat. The safari they had used for diving has also been located and handed over.

According to the police, everyone who was rescued is in good health.
