Youth resumed protests last night, for the second consecutive day, calling for justice for Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed, who was discovered fallen onto the roof of a warehouse on Friday morning.

Crowds gathered last night as well outside Henveiru Police Station, which houses Police's Crime Investigation Department.

Last night, Police placed barricades outside the Police Station, barring protests immediately outside the offices. With this, protestors remained beyond the barricades for sometime, before proceeding to march down Majeedhee Magu towards Rahdhebai Magu. With Police blocking off this area as well, the march continued on to Chaandhanee Magu.

Chants at the protest tonight are also aimed at Police's handling of the investigation.

Police have said that Yumnu fell from fanlight in the 9th floor stairwell of H. Fentoniya. They have also placed Raudh Ahmed Zilal, who was with Yumnu at the time of the incident, under arrest.

Police have also said that they have seized the phones of seven individuals, including Yumnu. The remaining six are persons who were with Yumnu earlier on the night of the incident.

They have also conducted searches under a court order at Ma. Maandhooge Dhekunubai's terrace, second and fourth floors, as well as the floor of G. Kashivelige.

Travel bans have also been placed on the individuals seen to have been with Yumnu earlier on the night of the incident.

The protestors' question the findings of Police shared at yesterday's press conference, and accuse the Police of cover ups and discrimination within the investigation.
