President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has today left to Malaysia on an official visit.
The visit is on invitation of Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. A delegation of cabinet ministers and other senior officials of the government are travelling alongside the President.
Foreign Minister Dr Abdulla Khaleel, Defence Minister Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon, Finance Minister Moosa Zameer, Home Minister Ali Ihusan, Education Minister Dr Ismail Shafeeu, Higher Education Minister Dr Ali Haidar, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed, Islamic Minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and Attorney General Ahmed Usham are accompanying the President on this trip.
This is President Muizzu's first official visit to Malaysia.
During the trip, the President will be meeting with Prime Minister Anwar.
The official welcoming ceremony is scheduled to be held tomorrow. He will be welcomed by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
The President will also attend a Business Forum organized by the Economic Ministry, which will be attended by Malaysian investors. He will also visit the International Islamic University of Maldives, where he will deliver a speech.
The President's Office said that President Muizzu will also meet with Maldivians residing in Malaysia.
