Thailand has started implementing amendments brought to the country's Immigration Act today, now requiring all foreigners entering the country to submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Car three days prior to arriving in the country.
In a post on X, the Maldivian Embassy in Thailand said this change applies to Maldivian as well.
The form required to be filled for the digital arrival card is available from the Thai Immigration website: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home
Maldives' Foreign Ministry had earlier said that this would not change any visa arrangements or policies between Maldives and Thailand, which means Maldivians would still be able to travel to the country on a 90-day entry visa.
However, the ministry also urged travellers to fill out their Thailand Digital Arrival Card online before leaving for the country. The ministry also advised Maldivians to respect the laws and regulations of host countries while abroad.
