MTCC launches special bus route as Thalassemia Centre moves to Orange Hiyaa

The Thalassemia Centre is to be shifted to Orange Hiyaa, near the Villa Petrol Shed in Hulhumale' Phase 1, on Thursday. In light of this, MTCC has introduced a special bus route.

MTCC said that all bus routes within Hulhumale; will now stop at Orange Hiyaa. From Male', R15 route will stop at Orange Hiyaa. This new schedule has come into effect from 1:30pm today.

MTCC said that the special bus route to Orange Hiyaa had been introduced to offer added convenience to thalassemia patients going there.

The government has commenced efforts to shift the Thalassemia Centre to Orange Hiyaa. Work on renovating the place was handed over to MNDF on March 28. This move was in response to concerns raised by thalassemia patients and their parents about the dilapidated condition of the current premises at Dhamanaveshi.

Shifting Thalassemia Centre to Orange Hiyaa is scheduled for Thursday this week.

MTCC operates buses in Male' and Hulhumale' on 15 routes.
