Maldives Customs Service has announced seeking to hire 164 Assistant Officers for its offices in the Male' region.
According to the announcement, applications are open until May 31, via the official recruitment portal. The positions are targeted at young applicants aged between 18 and 30.
The role offers a basic salary of MVR 5,000, in addition to allowances including a non-practice allowance of MVR 1,750, daily attendance and food allowances of MVR 200 and MVR 60 respectively, as well as overtime pay, bringing the total monthly remuneration to over MVR 11,000.
Candidates must have at least a D grade in two subjects at GCE O-Level or an equivalent qualification, a C grade in the Secondary School Certificate Examination, and must pass a physical fitness test given by the agency.
The recruitment comes amid a broader hiring push by state agencies ahead of the opening of the new terminal at Velana International Airport. The Aviation Security Command recently announced 74 vacancies, while Maldives Immigration is looking to hire 50 officers.
