Covid-19 cases, viral illnesses rise in Maldives; public urged to take precaution

Health Protection Agency (HPA) have reported a recent rise in Covid-19 cases, along with increased incidence of other viral infections such as dengue and influenza.

HPA said that the overall disease situation is being closely monitored, and further updates will be provided.

The public has been urged to take preventative measures as the seasonal rains typically lead to a surge in communicable diseases.

With the ongoing rainy season, we advise everyone to be vigilant and adopt protective practices to reduce the risk of infection HPA said.
