Under the government's aim to develop health services in 90 islands this year, the Health Ministry has contracted new hospitals, health centres, and expansion of existing facilities in 18 additional islands.
Previously, the government has contracted the construction of new buildings for hospitals in 10 islands, as well as health centres in 10 islands. Health Ministry said that as of April, 19 new hospitals, 15 health centres and 21 projects of expansion of existing facilities were contracted.
In a ceremony held yesterday, Health Ministry said that the projects have been contracted to MTCC, Fenaka Corporation and Road Development Corporation (RDC).

These agreements were signed by State Minister for Health Ahmed Gasim and RDC Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Asbah Ali Naseer.
