Media stands near President's Office officially opened

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has today officially opened the 'Media Fenda' - a set of stands - in front of the President's Office.

The media stands were built in front of the President's Office's south gate, through which media are generally admitted into the office.

President's Office said that the purpose of these stands is to facilitate easy access to information on ongoings at the President's Office and nearby ministries to media during official hours.

The President's Office said that although the stands are officially open during official hours, media can use it around the clock even on holidays.

The stands are accessible only to media personnel with a special permit. The permits will be issued to media that are consistently active and are registered at the Maldives Media Council.

The President's Office said that as the stands are in the Green Zone, all instructions by security services overseeing the Green Zone will be applicable to the stands as well.
