President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Government of Saudi Arabia for their exceptional hospitality and services provided to pilgrims, Umrah visitors, and all those visiting the Two Holy Mosques.
In a message posted on X, President Muizzu praised the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to serving Islam, describing their generosity as a noble and continuous act of devotion.
He said that the dedication shown by the Saudi leadership in facilitating the spiritual journeys of millions is beyond full expression and deserving of deep respect and admiration.
President Muizzu also offered prayers for the Saudi people, asking for continued blessings in their service to Islam. He prayed for the long life, good health, and well-being of both King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Additionally, he prayed for Saudi Arabia to be safeguarded from ill-intentioned forces and blessed with enduring peace, security, prosperity, and dignity.
Saudi Arabia has maintained strong support for Maldivian pilgrims over the years. This year, travel processes were made more efficient, particularly through the Maldives’ inclusion in the Makkah Route Initiative, which enabled special authorizations and streamlined travel procedures.
Enhanced services were also provided at accommodations specifically arranged for Maldivian pilgrims, all in accordance with local regulations and standards.
