Theft from a shop after removing roofing sheets

A theft has occurred from a shop in Male', with the thieves breaking into the shop through removing roofing sheets while the shop was closed for Friday prayers.

Police said that they received reports of a theft from the shop at the MTCC Vilimale' Ferry Terminal yesterday.

Police stated that the thieves had broken into the shop through removing roofing sheets, and that a phone and cash had been stolen from the shop.

Police have not yet revealed the amount of money stolen.

The shop provides 24 hour service, and is only closed during Friday prayer times.

Police said that they are investigating the theft.
