Vilimale' to get a new mosque featuring Quran classes

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has announced today that a new mosque is to be constructed in Vilimale' at the location where Masjid Al Salam is located now.

The minister said that a private donor had expressed interest in constructing this mosque. The project is to be handed over conditioning completion within a two year period, the Minister said.

Shaheem further said that the new mosque will be equipped with classrooms that can be used for Quran classes and other religious purposes.

The cost of the project has not been disclosed as of yet.

Vilimale' has two more mosques in addition to Masjid Al Salam: Masjid Al Ikhlas and Masjidul Birri.
