MTCC seeks a cook for Maha Jarraafu on one-month contract

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that it is seeking a cook to work on board Maha Jarraafu, the largest dredger in the region.

The position is a one-month contract role to temporarily replace the current cook, who will be on leave. The total salary and benefits package amounts to MVR 30,960, which includes medical insurance and enrollment in the pension scheme.

A senior MTCC official noted that Maha Jarraafu is a vessel built to international standards and therefore, cooks are recruited according to similarly high standards.

MTCC is looking for a candidate who can work six days a week as per the duty schedule. Applicants must have at least two years of relevant experience and hold the necessary certifications to serve as a cook on an unlimited tonnage vessel, in accordance with STCW Manila 2010 standards.

Interested individuals must submit their applications through MTCC’s online job portal by 12:00 am on Tuesday, July 1. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be held between July 2 and July 10.

MTCC also stated that the company reserves the right to deny employment based on the severity of any criminal record identified during the hiring process.
