Bids opened to develop Islamic centers, mosques in 14 islands

Finance Ministry has opened bidding to develop Islamic Centers in four islands and mosques in ten islands. Bids must be submitted by July 16, with the opening scheduled for July 17.

Ministry of Finance has opened bidding for the development of Islamic Centers in four islands and mosques in ten islands across Maldives.

These projects are being initiated at the request of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

According to the announcement, Islamic Centers will be developed in Sh. Funadhoo, Ha. Ihavandhoo, Lh. Naifaru, and GA. Villingili. The bid security for these projects ranges from MVR 102,000 to MVR 126,000.

Mosques will be constructed in the following ten islands:

• R. Meedhoo

• K. Gulhi

• AA. Mathiveri

• ADh. Fenfushi

• F. Feeali

• Dh. Rinbudhoo

• GDh. Nadellaa

• GDh. Madaveli

• GDh. Hoandedhdhoo

• GDh. Faresmaathodaa

The bid security for mosque projects ranges from MVR 40,000 to MVR 102,000.

Finance Ministry stated that all projects will be carried out in line with the regulations for construction contractors, national tendering principles, and the Foreign Direct Investment Policy.

Interested parties must pay a non-refundable registration fee of MVR 500 per project through the Bandeyri Portal from June 30 to July 15.

Bids must be submitted via the Bid Portal before 2:00 pm on July 16. The bid opening is scheduled for 11:00 am on July 17.
