RTL publicizes Raa Atoll ferry prices

RTL began their speedboat ferry services in Raa Atoll last week and this week, they have publicized the prices the service will be offered at. The Raa Atoll routes will be open for service next Thursday, with passengers being charged from then on.

RTL speedboat ferry services commenced in Raa Atoll last week and this week, they have publicized the prices the service will be offered at.

Passengers travelling on the Raa Atoll routes (which are known as Zone 2 in this project by RTL) will be charged from Thursday onwards, MTCC said in an announcement today.

Passengers will be charged based on the rates stated by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said MTCC.

They also said that customers can book their tickets via the RTL app or their website starting from today.

This past week has seen no charges being made for the RTL trips conducted via the Raa Atoll route.

MTCC states that children under the age of three and persons with special needs will be exempt from any charges.

The pricings that have been released includes route pricings for 17 inhabited islands in Raa Atoll and pricing for routes that begin from R. Ifuru, where the airport is located, as well. One-way tickets cost between MVR 35 and MVR 125.

MTCC is preparing to launch RTL Ferry Services in Baa Atoll as well.

RTL ferry services are currently provided in otherr atolls in Zone 2 as well, which includes Lhaviyani Atoll and Noonu Atoll. With the beginning of ferry services for Raa Atoll, this brings the total up to 10 atolls that now have RTL ferry services.

The government aims to have RTL ferry services available in all atolls by the end of the year.
