The King Salman Mosque is set to open up a 15,000-book Islamic library on 12th June 2025, said Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed today.
Discussions were held today among high-ranking individuals from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs as to the preparations needed to be made for this opening.
The opening of more libraries in Islamic centers is a presidential pledge made by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
An arrangement has been made with a foreign university where they will be donating 60,000 books to various libraries that are yet to be built at Islamic centers in Maldivian islands. The ministry has said that they will reveal the foreign university at a later date.
