Police have said today that some of the goods stolen from the home of former State TV PSM Managing Director Ali Khalid's residence have been recovered. However, no arrests have been made in the case so far.

Police said that in a case related to theft from a house in Mahchangolhi ward of Male', they have recovered some of the stolen goods and returned them to the owner.

The recovered items include an iPhone, laptop, branded sunglasses, printer, hard drives, speakers and watches. Police said that efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining items as well.

Police said that as per the owner, the value of goods stolen will reach MVR 72,000.

In a post on Facebook last Thursday, Ali Khalid alleged that a man called Zameel (also known as 'Saturday') had led the theft. He said that the thief remains in hiding.

Two individuals had entered Khalid's residence through a fanlight and robbed the house. Khalid says that the thieves had gained access to the fanlight from an adjacent building which is currently under construction.

Khalid also shared a photo on Facebook showing two individuals who had been attempting to sell the items stolen from his home. Although Khalid said at the time that the two were arrested, Police said today that no arrests have been made as of yet in relation to the theft.
