2ofUs named Visit Maldives' first local ambassador

MMPRC introduced the Visit Maldives Local Ambassadorship Program yesterday (6th July 2025), designed to promote Maldivian artistry, culture and heritage to the world. To that end, famous Maldivian band 2ofUs has been named Visit Maldives' first local ambassador.

The band took part in India's reality show Battle of Bands International this year and finished the show in third place, winning the hearts of many.

Riding on that success, the band recently had two full-house shows at Olympus. They've also done some shows in other parts of Male' and other islands, with fans asking them to perform at their respective islands during the recent Al'haa Eid.

They've also gotten the chance to audition in Britain's Got Talent's 19th season, one of the largest reality shows in the world.

MMPRC's Visit Maldives Local Ambassadorship Program is aimed at increasing the island nation's popularity as a culturally and artistically rich destination around the world.

The aim of this initiative is to give Maldivian artists the chance to work with interested parties to further their craft and promote the work of Maldivian artists, along with showcasing different artistic products in various fields and share Maldivian culture, heritage and products with people from around the world.
