Certain services at Hulhumale' Hospital disrupted

Due to a technical issue, certain services at Hulhumale' Hospital have been disrupted.

As per people who have gone to receive care, the only service that has been affected are laboratory related. There have been no issues in doctor consultations. Patients who went to get their bloodwork done early in the morning are still waiting for their turn.

A media official from Hulhumale' Hospital told Mihaaru that while there is a network issue faced by the hospital, patients will still be able to receive care, albeit with a longer waiting period.

"Medical tests such as extracting blood and other tests are still underway. It's just slowed down a bit, due to the billing process having to be done manually for a while," said the media official.

He also said that measures are being taken to fix the issue.

All who call the hospitals hotline are told that they may have to wait a bit longer for their turn due to the network issue. An hour has already passed since the issue started and the hospital is unable to say when the issue will be resolved.

The hospital faced electricity issues on 27th June 2025 where they lost power for hours, derailing treatment. Due to the power outage, OPD treatments had to be done in a clinic at Hulhumale' Phase 2.
