Only authorized Aviation Security certificates accepted: Defence Ministry

Ministry of Defence has stated that certificates from unauthorized Aviation Security trainings will not be accepted.

In a statement issued yesterday, the ministry said that it has come to their attention that Aviation Security trainings are being held without seeking required authorization.

The Ministry announced that certificates issued through Aviation Security courses that do not align with established training policies will not be accepted. The move is aimed at ensuring compliance with national standards and maintaining the integrity of aviation security credentials.

Institutions offering, as well instructors conducting Aviation Security courses necessary for civil air transport are required to seek authorization from the Defence Ministry.

The Ministry did not disclose which institutions are conducting these unauthorized trainings. Aviation sector courses are offered at some local colleges.
