Hulhumale' has been experiencing severe weather conditions from the early hours of today, with windspeeds reaching 52mph and causing extensive damage.

The strong winds caused various levels of damage across Hulhumale'.

On Fithuroanu Magu, a full grown beach she-oak tree was felled in front of One Avenue, collapsing on motorcycles on the street. About six motorcycles parked in the area were damaged in the incident, reports say.

A huge branch from another tree near Marrybrown on the same road also fell on the road.

A bus stop shelter in Hulhumale' Phase 2, near the Hiyaa Flats, was completely ripped from its base during the storm.

MET Office has issued a Yellow Alert from HA atoll to F Atoll, with winds in the area forecast at between 25 to 30mph, with gusts of 45mph.

A White Alert has also been issued from L atoll to Addu.

MET Office has also cautioned seafarers about rough seas and other adverse weather conditions over the weekend.
