Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) will begin signing agreements on Monday with recipients of the 4,000 flats constructed under the Gedhoruveriyaa Scheme in Hulhumalé Phase 2, the company announced.

The signing sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at designated zones within the synthetic track area in Hulhumalé. Specific locations will be announced via FDC’s official channels closer to the date.

According to the announcement, priority will be given to beneficiaries of towers that are nearing completion. The date and time for each agreement signing will be communicated through the GEdhoruveriyaa Portal.

FDC has urged beneficiaries to bring the following documents when attending the signing:

1. Copy of the flat tenant’s ID card

2. Copy of the co-applicant’s ID card

3. Original and copy of the witness’s ID card

4. Original form signed by the responsible party

5. Any other relevant supporting documents

FDC confirmed that all 4,000 units will be handed over once the finishing works are complete. This includes the installation of fans, windows, doors, tiles, toilets, and washbasins, along with full interior painting.

“Providing sustainable social housing at affordable prices is FDC’s main goal,” the statement read.

Under the previous administration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, 1,820 individuals were declared eligible for the flats. After the current government received a high volume of complaints regarding the allocation process, the list was reviewed. However, authorities have now opted to proceed with the existing list rather than compiling a new one.

The government has also clarified that individuals who do not meet eligibility criteria by the time of agreement signing will not receive a flat, even if previously shortlisted.

The flats will be leased on a 25-year contract basis, with recipients required to pay either monthly rent or installments throughout the lease period.
