Teen injured in accident discharged following recovery

The 16 year old who was injured in the July 13 accident in Male' has been discharged from hospital.

The accident occurred when a speeding motorcycle hit a jogger crossing the road, and then crashed into an oncoming pickup truck.

The accident claimed the life of 17 year old Yoosuf Alson Mohamed, who had been driving the motorcycle. It also left the 16 year old passenger, and 40 year old jogger, Ibrahim Shujau, in hospital with serious injuries.

IGMH Media Official confirmed today that the 16 year old was discharged yesterday.

The 40 year old remains in the Intensive Care Unit, although he has now been taken off the ventilator.
