IGHM announces seeking 55 patient liaisons to greet and assist patients

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has created a new post of 'Patient Support Coordinator' to greet and assist patients and their assistants who visit hospitals.

IGMH announced that they are seeking 55 Patient Support Coordinators to work as patient liaisons at IGMH, Dharumavantha Hospital, Hulhumale' Hospital, Vilimale' Hospital and Maldives Blood Service.

IGMH said that interviews for this position will be carried out from tomorrow until July 30. Deadline for application is 2pm on July 29.

To be eligible for the post, applicants must have completed Grade 7 or 10, and have four years experience in a related field.

Responsibilities of the job include:

- Greeting and directing patients and their assistants who visit the hospital

- Attending to any issues that such visitors may face, and finding quick resolutions

- Providing accurate and full information of services to visitors

- Contributing towards improving services at the hospital

- Monitoring experiences and gathering comments and suggestions from visitors

- Engaging with visitors in a polite, caring, and empathetic manner
