Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) today highlighted concerns over incomplete documentation being submitted via the portal for new flat agreements, urging applicants to ensure all required documents are provided.

FDC Managing Director Hamdhan Shakeel said that Housing Ministry forwards names of recipients to FDC separately, as their applications are verified. The verification process is not conducted in order of the recipients' list, he said.

FDC started signing of new agreements with Gedhoruveriya flat recipients last Monday.

- One the name is forwarded to FDC by the ministry, the recipient will receive a text message notifying them of Gedhoruveriya portal being updated

- Once FDC receives the name, a message will be sent to recipients asking them to log in to the corporation's Fahi portal

- Documents required for signing the agreement must be submitted via the Fahi portal

Documents that need to be uploaded to Fahi Portal

- ID card copies of flat recipient / co-applicant

- Witnesses' ID card copy and form

- In the instance that the applicant cannot attend the signing, details of the person to whom Power of Attorney is granted

"In cases where there is a co-applicant, then both the primary applicant and co-applicant have to individually log into the Fahi portal using their eFaas credentials and separately upload all the documents," Hamdhan explained.

"We have noticed multiple issues with uploading documents. There have been cases where an ID card of an unrelated person has been uploaded where the applicant's ID card needs to be. This has really lengthened the processing time."
