Action needs to be taken to help Gaza: Shaheem

Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has called for action to help the starving children of Gaza and not stand by as they perish.

Shaheem posted on X that helping other people to the best of our ability is our duty as fellow human beings.

He went on to say that help must be extended to humanitarian aid organizations such as Red Crescent.

Maldives is currently lending its aid to the Red Crescent, along with advocating for international communities that stand with Gaza. Maldives is also calling to cease the atrocities being committed by Israel and maintain peace for the Palestinian people.

Israeli attacks on Gaza has been ongoing for 21 months, with the current death toll at 60,000. Concerns are also mounting due to the deaths of children and adults being caused by starvation.

Israel has said that Hamas is to take responsibility for this and that they will not stop their attacks.
