MET Office has issued the third White Alert of the day, forecasting strong winds and rough seas across a large part of the country.
The latest White Alert is issued until 7:45pm tonight from HA Atoll to Th Atoll, with wind speeds of 19 to 24 mph and rough seas. Gusts of 45 mph were expected.
Today's first White Alert was issued from 2am last night to 8am. Another one was issued from 9:45am to 1:45am.
MET Office predicts the adverse weather conditions to persist over the next three days.
"The weather is expected to calm down from around Thursday onwards," a MET Official said.
MET Office has advised seafarers to exercise caution due to rough seas and strong winds.
