Three arrested on charges of drug possession and sale

Three individuals have been arrested for drug possession and sales.

Police said that the three were arrested in an operation conducted Monday based on information received by Counter Narcotics Intelligence.

Under the operation, apartments in Male' and Hulhumale' were searched, and 111.08g of a substance suspected to be drugs, along with five bottles of alcohol, were seized.

Four persons were arrested in relation to the case. When presented for their remand hearing, the court granted one conditional release.

The three who have been detained are Mohamed Layaan Ahmed, M. Aaru, Ali Nazim, Kokaa Han'dhuvaru, M. Mulah, and Ali Naavee Niyaz, M. Morning View. Two were placed in remand in custody for seven days and one for five days.
