The Bank of Maldives (BML) and Mastercard have launched a modern tourism insight data platform for Visit Maldives, the company promoting tourism sector of Maldives.

BML described it as the most advanced platform of its kind, offering data-driven insights into the spending habits and preferences of tourists and tourism operators.

"Using this data, tourism businesses can identify growth opportunities and make informed decisions to enhance the tourist experience at every stage of the journey" BML's statement says.

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) was renamed Visit Maldives Corporation Limited effective July 13 last year. After four consecutive years of losses, Visit Maldives (previously known as MMPRC) reported a profit of over MVR 27 million last year.
