One arrested from SIFCO Flats for drug offences

A man has been arrested after drugs were found at an apartment in SIFCO flats, designated for MNDF Officers and their families.

The 23 year old man who was arrested from a SIFCO flat has been placed on remand in custody for 15 days by the Criminal Court.

Police accuse the man of possession of drugs and alcohol, and its sale. The court stated that sufficient evidence to support these charges has been submitted.

According to a Criminal Court order, a significant quantity of drugs and drug-packing materials were discovered at the suspect’s residence and another location connected to him.

He has admitted to owning the items Police found in the search of his residence. However, he claimed in court that he has no connection to the second location in which drugs were discovered.
