A fire has broken out in a water villa at Kudarah Resort in Alifu Dhaalu atoll.
According to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the fire was reported at around 10.50 am, with the MNDF fire brigade dispatched at 11.05 am. The resort’s fire team is working to contain the flames.
Images and videos shared on social media show damage to the villa and several adjoining rooms.
