Bank of Maldives (BML) announced today that ATM services will be available on all islands in Baa Atoll by the end of this week, as part of its ongoing nationwide expansion plan.

Yesterday, self-service banking ATMs have been launched in three islands within Baa Atoll. The remaining seven islands, including Goidhoo, Fehendhoo, Hithaadhoo, Dhonfanu, and Maalhos, will receive ATM services before the end of the week.

The service is part of BML’s "ATMs for the Whole Country" initiative aimed at improving banking accessibility across all inhabited islands. The rollout was officially inaugurated today by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who began his tour of the province this morning.

BML has installed 47 new ATMs across the Maldives so far in 2025. BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef stated that the launch of ATM services across Baa Atoll represents a major step toward ensuring equal access to banking services for all citizens, regardless of location.
