The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has announced today that 1,202 out of 4,000 people have signed the agreement regarding the Gedhoruveriya flat project. It has been around a month since the signing stage started, specifically on 21st July.
1,530 people have been scheduled to sign the agreement as of now.
The agreement signing process is conducted by the FDC, with them referencing a list provided by the Housing Ministry, once all information has been confirmed. The list is sent to the FDC in a specified order. However, verification does not follow the list's specified order.
Upon signing the agreement, the keys to the flats will only be given once the security deposit is paid. Two-room apartments have a security deposit of MVR 15,000, with three-room apartments having a security deposit of MVR 25,000.
FDC has stated before that the issue of individuals not uploading all required documents to the portal for the agreement signing process is quite big. The corporation attributes the slowdown of the scheduling process to the aforementioned issue.
Documents to be uploaded to the "Fahi" Portal
- ID card of the applicant / co-applicant.
- ID card and form of witness.
- Information of the individual assigned as the Power of Attorney if the applicant cannot show up for the signing process.
Flat rent rates:
- Two-room apartments (including maintenance fee): A total of MVR 8,000.
- Three-room apartments (including maintenance fee): A total of MVR 10,500.
Essential services such as water, electricity and gas will be registered by the FDC upon signing the agreement, as stated before by FDC Managing Director Hamdhan Shakeel.
