Civil Service Commission has announced today that they are seeking applications for the newly created post of Chief Administrator at the Environmental Regulatory Authority (ERA).
The former Environmental Protection Agency was renamed as the Environmental Regulatory Authority last Tuesday. Announcing the change, the President also decided to create this new post to lead the authority.
While the EPA was previously overseen by a governing board, the ERA operates directly under the Environment Ministry.
As per the CSC's announcements, the basic requirements from applicants to the post are:
1. Holding a qualification of minimum MNQF Level 7 and a minimum of six years experience in leading a government, public, private, national or international organization.
OR
2. Holding a qualification of minimum MNQF Level 9 and a minimum of four years experience in leading a government, public, private, national or international organization.
The basic monthly salary offered for the post is MVR 20,500, along with a living allowance of MVR 15,000, coming to a take home pay of MVR 35,500 per month.
Previously, the highest position at the EPA was that of the Director General. This post is held by Ibrahim Naeem.
Applications for the post of Chief Administrator can be submitted until 2pm on August 26.
