Road and harbor near MMA closing for repair

Male' City Council has decided to temporarily close off a section of the road and harbor near MMA to upgrade the condition of the road. This is in line with their work to repair and upgrade the outer road that surrounds Male'.

The council announced that a section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu will be closed off from 18th August until 13th October.

The council said that they apologize for any inconvenience drivers may experience.

The council released a map along with the announcement, where it shows the area of road that will be closed off, specifically from the Dhathuruveringe (Local/Travelers') Market up to the Presidential Jetty. A section of the harbor where atoll ferries enter will also be closed off.

The council also stated that the road surrounding the Fish Market will also be closed off at high traffic times.
