MACL awarded development of Sports Complex in Rasdhoo, Ukulhas

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has been awarded the project to develop Sports Complexes in the islands of Rasdhoo and Ukulhas in Alif Alif (AA) atoll. 

The project was awarded to MACL during President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's ongoing visit to AA atoll. 

The Ukulhas agreement was signed by Sports Minister Abdulla Rafiu and MACL Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed. 

This week, MACL was also handed over projects to develop fitness centres in 63 islands, including Rasdhoo. The Finance Ministry also handed over the development and operation of Mathiveri Airport to MACL. 

It is a presidential pledge of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to establish fitness and recreation centres in all inhabited islands by the end of next year. 

The Sports Complexes being developed in Ukulhas and Rasdhoo will be equipped with indoor gyms, a dedicated room for women to exercise in, board games, a multi-sport hall and a meeting room.
