Students are now allowed to change schools only at specific times during the academic year.
Previously, students were allowed to transfer between schools at any point during the academic year.
However, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed, the State Minister of Education, has announced amendments to the student enrollment and transfer regulations. These changes will be incorporated into the academic calendar starting from the next academic year.
Under the new regulations, students will be permitted to transfer schools only twice per academic year. The following guidelines must be observed:
- Transfers for the second term must be reported no later than one month before the end of the first term.
- Transfers before the end of the academic year must be submitted at least one month prior to the conclusion of the second term.
Dr. Mohamed stated that the updated policy is designed to promote academic stability and reduce disruptions to students' learning. All schools are required to align their internal procedures with these guidelines.
However, he clarified that exceptions may still be made in special or sensitive cases where a transfer is necessary.
