Major infrastructure projects launched in Kulhudhuffushi

These projects are part of the government's broader plan to boost regional development, improve infrastructure, and enhance public services across the northern atolls.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, currently visiting the islands of HDh. Atoll, has officially launched several major infrastructure development projects in Kulhudhuffushi, including road construction, airport terminal development, and port service expansion.

Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been awarded the contract for the third phase of road development in the island. The project was inaugurated by State Minister for Construction and Housing Infrastructure, Hassan Rasheed, and RDC Managing Director, Ibrahim Nazim.

MACL has been awarded the contract for the expansion of the terminal at Khulhudhufushi Airport

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has been entrusted with the construction of a new airport terminal in Kulhudhuffushi. The foundation stone for the terminal was laid by Finance Minister Moosa Zameer and MACL CEO and Managing Director, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed.

In addition to these projects, the government has also initiated the expansion of port services in the island. The port development work was officially inaugurated by Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed.
