Youth arrested on charges of drug trafficking

Police have arrested a youth yesterday o charges of drug trafficking. 

Police said a 23 year old had been arrested for drug use and trafficking. The identity of the arrested has not been revealed as of yet. 

The youth was arrested in an operation carried out in Male', where their apartment and two motorcycles were searched, Police said. 

Through the search, Police discovered 1227g of drugs and MVR 101,550 in cash. 

Police said that the two motorcycles have now been towed for purposes of the investigation. 

Police are yet to reveal further information regarding this investigation.
